Samuel “Sam” Hatfield is a senior at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, where he is double majoring in Digital Arts and Media and Religion. At Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Sam discovered a passion for technical theatre. He now works as a crew member for the Transylvania Theatre Department and Theatre Guild. When asked to design and install a mural in Costa Rica, he drew on his experience in scenic painting and technical management to guide his team. 

Sam is also an executive with Transylvania Advocates for Accessibility and a member of both the Transylvania Interfaith Alliance and Disciples on Campus. He is passionate about uplifting the voices of underrepresented groups and learning from the experiences of others. Sam plans to pursue a career in ministry, paying forward the love that has been freely given to him.
