Austin Luther is a rising junior at the University of Lynchburg, where he majors in biology with a biomedical emphasis and chemistry. Before college, he graduated from Onward Christian Academy in Rustburg, Virginia. Austin is a member of the Bonner Leadership Program, Theoria Philosophy Club, Pre-Health Club, Chemistry Club, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. 

Austin regularly volunteers with local nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on the Free Clinic of Central Virginia. During previous summer and winter breaks, he has also served with a local robotics camp, food bank, and global relief organization. His long-term goal is to become a physician-scientist who combines research and medical care to serve people who face barriers to adequate health care. He hopes to bring empathy, courage, advocacy, integrity, and innovation to that work.
