Stella is finishing her senior year of high school at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis and looking forward to her freshman year at Bethany College as a Biology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine student. Stella grew up in Iowa and Indiana. She has played softball since she was four years old, which has included school teams and 10 years of travel softball.

Stella has been active in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in churches in Iowa City/Coralville, Speedway, and Indianapolis. As a member of Northwood Christian Church, Stella served in leadership roles such as the congregation’s Mission Planning Team and the Indiana Youth Council. She has been involved in National Honor Society, HOSA Future Health Professionals, and Girls, Inc. She has volunteered with food pantries and food banks, hurricane recovery, little league softball, and several other organizations and causes.

In recognition of her community service, Stella received the Barbara James HOSA Service Award Bronze level as a junior and Gold level as a senior. She also interned at Broad Ripple Pet Wellness Clinic as a junior and senior. Stella’s goal is to become a veterinarian in order to help animals and the people who care for them while also continuing to serve in some capacity in the Disciples of Christ.
