Malachi Gnade graduated from Culver-Stockton College with a degree in Mathematics Education. During college, he volunteered extensively, taught graduate-level classes, served as a resident assistant and tutor, co-captained the volleyball team, and remained active in leadership and service projects connected to his church community.
Through the Phillips Scholar Program, Malachi gained experiences that expanded his view of leadership and service. Looking back, he appreciated learning that opportunity often exists beyond what someone from a small rural community may imagine. His advice to future scholars remains as practical as ever: "Don't be afraid to jump right in. Mistakes are going to happen, but you must learn from them."
