John will be a first-year marketing student at Texas Christian University. John was born in Georgia and has spent most of his life in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He is graduating in May from Atlee High School.

While in high school, John has been an active member of DECA, the tennis team, the National Honor Society, the French Honor Society, SODA, Boy Scouts, and Illusion, the school's mixed choir. At church, he sings and plays guitar and cajon in the youth praise band. He is active in the youth group and loves everything about Craig Springs Camp and Conference Center.

He enjoys his leadership role as a director of Nature Camp, a camp for at-risk youth that partners counselors and campers with a 1:1 ratio. He has gleaned much from mission trips. His work as a barista at a local coffee shop has given him the opportunity to work with the public and learn how to make an excellent latte!

John's goal is to combine his love of marketing with his passion for empowering those living in poverty and at-risk situations.
