Jessica Griffith

Jessica Griffith is a Master of Divinity student at Lexington Theological Seminary, where she is pursuing a call to ministry rooted in radical inclusion, justice, and belonging. She graduated from St. Andrews University in 2015 with a degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Politics. After college, Jessica returned to her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, where she was born and raised, and served two years with the AmeriCorps national service program, working with Habitat for Humanity and City Year Jacksonville. Following her service, she received an AmeriCorps alumnus grant and launched a no-cost soccer program that served children in Jacksonville’s urban core for four years. Her work has consistently centered on equity, access, and community-building.

Jessica currently serves as the Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator at Riverside Avenue Christian Church, an Open and Affirming congregation affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). There, she brings her passion for creating faith spaces where all people, especially LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, are not only welcomed but celebrated. She is also a teacher at a public charter school and the proud parent of four children—Carson, Lillyann, Carter, and Lainey—whom she and her wife, Chelsea, adopted from foster care. As she continues her theological studies, Jessica hopes to serve in either nonprofit or church leadership, working to co-create inclusive communities shaped by grace, justice, and the transformative love of Christ. In her free time, she enjoys coaching youth soccer and spending time outdoors with her children.
