The Phillips University Legacy Foundation Board Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the selection of the 2017-18 Legacy Scholars. The new Scholars are:

Trystan Deck is a sophomore at Texas Christian University. She is majoring in Electrical Engineering and is from Longview, Texas. Trystan's first cousin, Brenna Jennings is a current Legacy Scholar and is also attending TCU.

Samantha "Sami" Frame is a freshman at Chapman University. She is from Cashion, Oklahoma, and plans to major in Religion and Peace Studies. Sami's uncle, Kevin McGuire, attended Phillips University from 1996-1998.

Chester Chet Griffith is a senior at Eureka College. He hails from Washington, Illinois, and is majoring in accounting and business.

Mackenzie Hozdic is a freshman at Texas Christian University. She is from Atlanta, Texas, and plans to major in sports broadcasting. Her sister, Lauren Hozdic, is also a current Legacy Scholar.

Isabel Overy is a sophomore at Lynchburg College. Isabel is from Williamsburg, Virginia. She is majoring in elmentary education.

Davis Owen, a freshman at Bethany College, is currently working toward choosing a college major. Davis is from Austin, Texas. Davis' sister, Christa Owen McCord, is a 2008 Legacy Scholar Alumna.

Andrew Paxton Shorow is a freshman at at Texas Christian University. Paxton is from Edmond, Oklahoma, and is majoring in biology and chemistry. His grandfather, Charles Shorow, graduated from Phillips University in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion.
