D.O.D 04/17/2004 - BUNDREN -- Betty Lou (Clark), 76, wife of John Bundren passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Betty, the daughter of Allan and Golda Clark was born April 18, 1927 in Hennessey, OK. She attended school in Enid, OK graduating in the Class of 1945. She graduated with honors from Phillips University in 1949, with a B. A. in History. She obtained a M. A. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1951. Betty married John W. Bundren on May 31, 1949. They made their home in Bartlesville in 1951. She taught Social Studies at Central Jr. High from 1966- 1986 and was chosen "Bartlesville Teacher of the Year in 1976." She was a member and Elder of First Christian Church. Betty is survived by her husband, John of the home; a son, Dr. J. Clark Bundren and his wife, Mary Ellen of Tulsa; a daughter, Mary Pat Fennema and her husband, Steve of Tulsa, OK; and 4 grandchildren, Johnathan, Michelle and Kara Bundren and Gary Fennema of Tulsa.
