D.O.D 12/21/2007 - The funeral for Bette Vadakin Becker, 86, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Johnson and Byron Nue-feld, chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born Aug. 16, 1921, to A.G. and Iva Hale Vadakin and died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at The Commons Methodist Home. She graduated from Enid High School in 1938. She attended Enid Business School and Phillips University. She retired from Garfield County Treasurer’s Office after 17 years as deputy. She married Frank Becker in 1941. She managed Becker Oil Co., Becker One Stop and Becker Rentals. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship and Sooner Sunday school class. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels for 15 years. She was a charter member of Chi Beta Study Club. Surviving are her husband, Frank of the home; one son, Steve Becker of Little Rock, Ark; one daughter, Cindy Goddard of Edmond; and three grandchildren.
