D.O.D 10/2013 - Arthur "Art" Fahrner, age 88, of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his family's home.
Art was born on May 27, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur A. and Fern (Holmes) Fahrner. He graduated from high school in Detroit and entered the United States Army-Aircorp during World War II. He married Mildred Isaacs on August 11, 1951 in Ponca City and then was called to serve his country again in the Korean War. After the Art was honorably discharged from the military he came back to Enid, Oklahoma were he and Mildred made their home. Art attended Phillips University in Enid where he received his degree Draftsmanship.
Art had two daughters: Roxie Adams and Rhonda Nelson. He died April 14, 2013.
