|Kouns, Joe Franklin||1953|
D.O.D 12/24/2012 - Frank Kouns was born May 23, 1931 to Joe and Hazel Kouns. He came to Phillips in 1949 from Rocky Ford, Colorado. He earned the B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1953.
Frank married Nancy Tindle, also a Phillipian, in 1953.
Frank and Nancy went to Casper, Wyoming where he was the Senior Clerk in the accounting department of Pan-American Petroleum Corporation. He also taught swimming in the night school at Casper College.
He moved to Tulsa and became the Supervisor-Division Orders for Standard Oil Company. The company later became Amoco. Frank retired from there in 1988 after 32 years. He was the 1987 President of the National Association of Division Order Analysts.
A member of East Side Christian Church in Tulsa, Frank received the Outstanding Service Award and Layman of the Year for the State of Oklahoma.
Frank and Nancy had four children, Randy, Dana, Jeffry, and Tracy. He died December 24, 2012.
