D.O.D 10/21/2012 - Lloyd George Franklin, 95, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012. He was born Aug. 31, 1917, on a farm near Red Rock, Okla. He was named after David Lloyd George, the prime minister of England during WWI. Lloyd graduated from Enid High School in Enid, Okla., in 1935, and attended additional postgraduate courses in journalism before enrolling at Phillips University, where he studied journalism and wrote a byline sports column for the University’s Haymaker paper. He was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church in Enid. | |
