D.O.D 03/23/2012 - Lloyd was born November 10, 1921 in Wichita, Kansas to Edward and Mame (Manley) Simmons and passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 at home, surrounded by his family in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Lloyd was raised and attended school in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Wichita North High School in 1939. He attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma for two years and in 1942 joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. | |
