Klein, Marilyn (Crum)1953 BS

D.O.D 04/21/2012 - Marilyn Klein, of Prairie Village, Kansas was born July 9, 1931, in Muncie, Kansas, in western Wyandotte County. She was the youngest of three siblings, brother, Robert Crum Jr., sister, Virginia Hughes, and sister, Emma Jean Robinson, all pre-deceased.
Marilyn was a graduate of Turner High School with honors in 1949, a graduate of Philips University, Enid, Oklahoma, in 1953, receiving the BS in Education. She met fellow student Lane Klein of Hutchinson, Kansas. They were married on Aug. 16, 1953, at Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas.
In 1982, Marilyn obtained the Accredited Record Technician Degree from Johnson County Community College and was employed by Baptist Hospital Medical Records Department through the years 1997. She then continued working as a volunteer in that department for an additional 10 years.
In November of 2011, Marilyn was stricken with Parkinson's disease. But it never deterred her efforts to attend the activities of her family and friends especially her beloved grandchildren. She always was known for her smiling happiness, even temper, and willingness to work pleasantly with any assignment. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the local sports teams. Most certainly she constantly demonstrated the attributes of a devout Christian and full of faith in her Lord and Master, Jesus the Christ.
Marilyn had a daughter, Shari Lentsch. She died April 21, 2012.
