D.O.D 03/20/1999 - Rev. Glyn B. Adsit was born July 6, 1917 in Catoosa, Oklahoma. He came to Phillips from Amarillo Texas in 1941 and graduated with a BA in 1945. Glyn then went to Cornell University to earn an M.S. in 1946. Another year was spent at Yale University.
He married Jean Dowd June 15, 1941. They served as missionaries to China in rural reconstruction from 1947 to 1949, leaving because of the Communist take-over. After their return Glyn studied for his B.D. which he received in 1952. He also did two years teaching New Testament Greek at Phillips.
Glynís last pastorate was in Bend Oregon where he retired in 1981. The Adsits had two children Tim Adsit and Janice Shellgren. Glyn died March 20, 1999.
