D.O.D 11/13/2009 - Enid, OK — The funeral for Dr. Oran G. Anderson, 72, formerly of Waukomis, was held Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich. The Rev. Walter Schmidt officiated. Arrangements were by A.H. Peters Funeral Home, Grosse Pointe Woods.
He was born Oct. 10, 1937, to Fred and Loucien Anderson and died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in Yale, Mich.
He was a 1955 graduate of Waukomis High School and Phillips University in 1959. He graduated from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1962. He was president of many state and national professional associations. He spent his life as an opthalmologist in the Detroit area.
Surviving are his children, Dr. Mark Anderson, Elizabeth Nyquist, Deborah Trerice, Pamela Conley, Dr. Paul Anderson and Rebecca Tito; his mother, Loucien Anderson; one brother, Gene Anderson; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.
