International keynote speaker and author Matt Tenney will spearhead the development training at PULF’s 2017 Legacy Scholars Leadership Development Conference, scheduled for November 9-12 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Tenney is a speaker, trainer, and consultant with the prestigious Perth Leadership Institute, whose clients include numerous Fortune 500 companies. Matt is a social entrepreneur and the author of the highly acclaimed books Serve to Be Great: Leadership Lessons from a Prison, a Monastery, and a Boardroom and The Mindfulness Edge: How to Rewire Your Brain for Leadership and Personal Excellence Without Adding to Your Schedule. His mission is to develop highly effective leaders who achieve lasting success by focusing on serving and inspiring greatness in the people around them.

Phillips University and Legacy Scholar alumni are welcome to join the twenty-six 2017 Legacy Scholars, PULF board of directors, corporate members and staff in this unique leadership development and networking event hosted annually by PULF. Presentations will be made during the conference by upper class students, sharing their experiences gained through volunteer service projects, a component of the Legacy Scholars program. Scholars will also lead vespers, meditations, ice breakers and Sunday worship.

The conference will take place at the Lakeview Camp and Retreat Center near Waxahachie, Texas, approximately half-way between Dallas/Ft. Forth and Waco. Cost for the four-day, three-night event (includes board and lodging) is $325 for a single room and $280 for a double room.
