Phillips University Legacy Foundation Hosted Its Eleventh Annual Leadership Development Conference
November 20, 2012
Phillips University Legacy Foundation hosted its eleventh annual Leadership Development Conference from November 8-11, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK. Sixteen Phillips University Legacy Scholars, from as far away as Orange, California, worked side-by-side with Phillips University alumni and leadership trainers to learn about Phillips University and to develop servant leadership skills. This year’s conference theme was, “Lead by Serving, Serve by Leading.”
“The 2012-2013 Scholars are some of the best and the brightest we’ve seen. We’re thrilled that through the Legacy Scholarship and Leadership Training program, Phillips University continues to impact the lives of promising young people who will mature into influential Christian leaders in business, their communities, their church and in the world,” Kelly Coker, Vice-President/Executive Director of the Foundation said.
This was the first Legacy Foundation Leadership Development Conference for Pearl Morgan, a Sophomore attending Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS. Morgan said, “This has been one of the best experiences of my college career. Every single thing at the conference was beneficial. I learned so many great ideas and techniques to be a successful leader.”
Phillips University Legacy Foundation and the Scholars would like to thank the following companies for their sponsorship of this year’s conference:
