I was one of the lucky 11 to have been awarded the Phillips University Legacy Foundation scholarship the first year it was started. I wasn’t sure how special the scholarship was until I went to the conference the fall of my first year. I then realized that I was not only getting a scholarship from the legacy foundation, I was given the opportunity to grow as a leader and meet wonderful people from across the country. It was an honor to be a part of the Phillips University family, and I hope to one day help contribute to the scholarship fund.
